Jennifer Daubeny

Chargé d’affaires of the High Commission of Canada in India & Chargé d’affaires of the Embassy of Canada accredited to Nepal and Bhutan

About Speaker

Jennifer Daubeny has been Canada’s Chargé d’affaires for India, Nepal and Bhutan since October 2024.  Prior to that she served for two years as Minister (Commercial) at the Canadian High Commission to India, with responsibility for India, Nepal and Bhutan.

Ms. Daubeny previously served as Canada’s Consul General for south India from 2016-2018, based in Bengaluru. Other overseas assignments include Senior Trade Commissioner at Canada’s High Commission in London, Consul and Senior Trade Commissioner in Guadalajara, 

Mexico, and Trade Commissioner at the Canadian Embassy in Prague, Czech Republic. She has also held a range of management positions at Global Affairs Canada headquarters in Ottawa involving foreign direct investment; science, technology and innovation relations; international education; commercial relations with the Middle East and Africa; and trade policy.  

Ms. Daubeny has a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of British Columbia, and a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Victoria.
